Canadian Tire Atom Kinucks Extend Win Streak to 3 and are 2-1 in WOAA Playoff Action
The Kincardine Canadian Tire Atom Kinucks visited Port Elgin for a WOAA Lockridge division playoff game on Saturday against the Saugeen Shores Storm.  Coming off a great home win against the TCDMHA Rebels and a win against the Shallow Lake Lakers in exhibition play, the Kinucks were feeling confident they could even the home and home series with the Storm.

The Storm jumped out to an early 1-0 lead only one minute in to the game; however, the Kinucks did not back down and stopped the Storm from getting any other good chances in the first period.  Two minutes in to the second period and Nolan MacKinnon would feed the puck to Jordan Beisel.  Beisel stormed up the wing feeding a beautiful tape to tape pass to Wilson Shipp who finished the play snapping a wrist shot past the Storm goalie to make it a 1-1 game.  The Kinucks would carry the play for the remainder of the game and their hard work would pay off with the go ahead goal at the eleven minute mark of the third period from Wilson Shipp, assisted by Jordan Beisel and Kaleb Smith.  An empty net goal by Nolan MacKinnon sealed the 3-1 win.  Jordan Beisel was named hardest working player of the game; although the entire team worked hard to get the win and improve their WOAA playoff record to 2-1.

The Canadian Tire Atom Kinucks next playoff action will be a home and home series against the Arran-Elderslie Ice Dogs starting February 23, 10:45 in Chesley followed by a home game, February 24, 5:30 at the Davidson Centre.  Come out and support this exciting team take on the Ice Dogs in a bid to advance to the Lockridge division finals.
