Kincardine Bantam LL Girl's win 2-1
The Kincardine Bantam Girls team played a strong game in Thornbury on November 3rd. During the half hour delay in the game waiting for the referees to show up both teams got bored and started skating end to end dropping on their bellies. Thornbury opened the scoring with 1 second left on the clock in the first period. Hayley Sorbara answered back scoring a beauty back-hand off a pass from Mackenzie Nashiem the goalie didn’t even see it coming. Kincardine’s final goal was a pass back to the point from Sorbara to Makayla McGregor with a bouncing shot that went right over the goalie. Thornbury pulled their goalie with 40 seconds left on the clock but was unable to score. Kincardine went home with a 2-1 win. Goalie Amber Howald had a great game between the pipes assisted by solid defense play by Alice Thorpe, Kirsten Walden Morgan Robertson and MacGregor. There was strong offensive play throughout the game by Lydia Martin, Hayli Charette, Georgia Fields and Danielle McBride.
