Weekend Action for Novice
Last weekend the Kincardine Home Hardware Novice Rep hockey team took to the ice twice. On Saturday morning the Kinucks had a hard fought game against the Saugeen Shores Storm.
The Kinucks struck first early in the game with Tyler Johns scoring on a perfect pass from Quinton Page. The scoring continued to go back and forth between the teams, and it was Quinton Page who struck twice more during the game, once un-assisted and once on a pass from Tyler Johns. In the third period Jorja Scott and Casey Beisel assisted to set Brandon Bishop up to score the Kinucks fourth of the game. Saugeen Shores never gave up when they were down and held the Kinucks to a 4-4.
On Sunday the Kinucks faced off against the Hanover Falcons. The Kinucks once again proved that they are a solid team and came away with an 8-0 win. Early in the game it was Tyler Johns to open the scoring on a rebound from Quinton Page to get the team going. Soon after Quinton Page struck again assisted by Casey Beisel. Then it was Jesse Page getting on the game sheet with assists by Quinton Page and Jared Houghton.
Next up was Quinton Page assisted by Tyler Johns followed by a natural hat trick by Brandon Bishop with assists from Jesse Page, Gavin Beaty,Dylan Chinnick, Tyler Johns, and Jared Houghton. To finish the game Quinton Page scored his third with assists from Dayle Chinnick and Brandon Bishop. The Falcons were unable to get on the board due to the excellent goal tending of Kwade Beisel who makes it look so easy, and by a strong defensive effort by Nathan Arnold, Jorja Scott, Nolan Janes and Graeden Colhoun. Keep up the great work Kinucks!!!
