St. George Tournament Winner
The Home Hardware Novice Rep team took to the ice in St. George this weekend for a three game tournament.

On Saturday morning the Kinucks took on Lucan. There was lots of action on the ice, but the keepers at both ends kept the score close. It was Lucan however that managed to score the only goal of the game, to make it a 1-0 final, handing the Kinucks their first loss of the year.

Saturday afternoon the Kinucks took to the ice again to face Langton. This time they came out fired up and ready to play hard. The first period started of with Quinton Page potting 2 unassisted goals, followed by a goal from Tyler Johns assisted by Quinton Page. Then a beauty by Jesse Page from Brandon Bishop and Casey Beisel. To finish the Period, Quinton Page scored once more for the hat trick with assists from Brandon Bishop and Dylan Chinnick. In the second period the Langton defense tightened up and only allowed the Kinucks to score once more, and it was Jarred Houghton, unassisted. The Third was also a close one, but the Kinucks managed to score one last time for the game, it was Dylan Chinnick for his first of the year from Tyler Johns and Graeden Colhoun. The kinucks went on to win 7-2 and placed them to play on Sunday for the B Championship.

Sunday Afternoon saw the Home Hardaware Novice Kinucks face off against Norwich for the B side Finals. Both Team were hungry for the win, and there was plenty of excitement at both ends of the ice. Both of the Kinucks Keepers, Kwade Beisel and Rowen Cherrett stood on their heads to give the team the edge they needed to win the game. There was no scoring for the Kinucks in the first period. However, early in the third it was Jesse Page to bang one home from just outside of the crease with a nice assist from Quinton Page and Casey Beisel. Later in the second Quinton Page stuck again with an assist from Jarred Houghton. The end to end excitment was awsome as the team went to work in the third period. Dylan Chinnick scored early in the third with an assist by Brandon Bishop and Jorja Scott to break the 3-3 tie. Norwich came on strong to end the game, and pulled the goalie for the extra attacker.

The Kinucks fought back even harder and managed to score the empty netter with a goal by Quinton Page and assists to Casey Beisel and Jesse Page.

Everyone on the team came out and worked hard over the weekend. A special mention to Gavin Beaty, Dayle Chinnick, Nathan Arnold and Nolan Janes for their outstanding defensive play.
