Novice Rep Had A Challenge
This weekend the Kincardine Home Hardware Novice Rep team had a huge challenge from Coach Bishop. During practice the team was challenged to scoring 10 or more goals over the weekend and let in 4 or less. This would earn them the chance to scrimmage during their next practice.

The Kinucks took to the ice on Saturday evening in Port Elgin to take on the Storm. Kincardine scored first with Dylan Chinnick putting the puck past the keeper with assists from Brandon Bishop and Jared Houghton. Within a minute the Kinucks put their second on the board with Quinton page firing a rocket top shelf with an assist from Nolan Janes.

Later in the first, Quinton Page struck again with an assist from Tyler Johns. The kinucks were unable to score in the second period, but did have a questionable goal called back. The Third period saw goals from Graeden Colhoun assisted by Brandon Bishop and Jesse Page from Quinton Page. The defensive lines were solid and the net minding of Rowen Cherrett and Kwade Beisel was outstanding.

On Sunday afternoon the Kinucks were at home to face the Walkerton Capitals. the Capitals seemed to be coming on strong and kept the Kinucks off of the board for the first period. To start off the second period it was Brandon bishop scoring a great goal with assists from Nathan Arnold and Nolan Janes. Within a minute the Kinucks buried it again with Jesse Page scoring with an assist from Quinton Page. To finish the period out, the schooner line hit the ice  and Quinton Page scored with assists from Dylan Chinnick and Tyler Johns. In the third the Kinucks came out in charge with two more goals from Quinton Page for the natural hat trick with assists from Graeden Colhoun and Nathan  Arnold.   Some excellent defensive play from Jorja Scott, Dayle  Chinnick, Nathan Arnold, Jared Houghton, Casey Beisel and Gavin Beaty made the difference in keeping the score low for the Capitals.

The Kincardine novice Rep team has not lost a game yet, and continue to show they are a strong team, on and off of the ice. By scoring the 10 goals over the weekend and keeping their opponents to four or less, the team met the challenge issued by Coach Bishop and look forward to their next practice.
