Kinucks Openinig weekend Success
The Kincardine Kinucks Atom AE team took to the ice three times this weekend. On Friday night they took on the West Gray Warriors at the Tiverdome. There was end to end action with both goaltenders being tested early. Kwade Beisel held the Kinucks out front for the 2-1 win. Both of the kinucks goals came in the third period. the first from Brock Courtney, unassisted, and the second from Kole McCormick with a blistering slap shot from the side of the net.

On Saturday morning the Kinucks traveled to Walkerton to take on the Capitals. Kincardine scored twice in the first period before moving into a defensive game. The first goal came courtesy of Brock Courtney on a nice wrist shot, with the assist going to Kole McCormick. Just minutes later Myles Courney buried the puck in the back of the net assisted by Graeden Colhoun and Thomas Harmsworth. Kwade Beisel held strong in the net to earn his first shut out of the year and the second straight win for the kinucks.
Sunday morning the Mitchel Meteors came to town. The Meteors took an early lead and seemed to have the Kinucks well in hand. Then Kincardine had a blast of life in the third period when Brock Courtney scored on a low shot with an assist going to Bennett Janes. Mid way through the period Myles Courtney scored high glove side on a break away with an assist coming from Brock Courtney. Unfortunately it wasn't enough and the Kinucks suffered their first loss of the regular season, 3-2.
Keep up the great work, Lets Go Kinucks!!
