Kinucks Play Twice on Sunday
On November 20 the Boston Pizza Atom AE Team played two games. In the
morning against the first place Hanover Falcons and in the evening
against the second place Mitchell Meteors.
On Sunday morning the Falcons flew into town to take on the Kinucks. Hanover scored the first goal early in the game, which sparked something in the Kinucks. Minutes later, Tyler Johns took a break away pass from Dylan Chinnick and made no mistake about putting it in the back of the net. The second period was back and forth with Kwade Beisel keeping everything out of the net. Early in the third, Tyler Johns struck again on a shot from the hash marks with the assist going to Graeden Colhoun. With three penalties to the Kinucks in the third period it was all about defense, and they did an excellent job of shutting down the Falcons. With the last second ticking off of the clock, the Kinucks handed the Falcons their first loss of the year 2-1.
Later in the evening the kinucks made the trip to Mitchell to take on the Meteors. Mitchell came out hard against the kinucks who were playing their third game in just over 24 hours. They managed to score 1 goal in each of the periods. Late in the game, Tyler Johns broke down the ice for the shot which landed a juicy rebound for Chase Anderson to put in the back of the net with an additional assist to Dylan Chinnick. Even with the 3-1 loss the Kinucks are showing that they are a tough team to play against.
All weekend long the boys worked hard as a team, defensively, offensively and in the net. Keep up the great work.
