PEEWEES COMPLETE A 3 GAME WEEK
Peewees earn a possible 5 of 6 points over the past week.

The Legion peewees played 3 games last week.  Wednesday night the Kinucks hosted Blyth-Brussels, looking to show better than the 2-0 loss to the Crusaders in the Lucknow Regional Legion tournament.  Zach "bomber/baconator" Wall opened the scoring in the second period unassisted.  The Kinucks would head to the second period intermission with a 3-1 lead.  Other goals scorers were Liam "Captain" Colhoun and Kaleb "BLINKY" Smith, assists went to Mack "LESS-FRO" Beisel and Colhoun.  The Kinucks would continue with an excellent forecheck in the third and would eventually win the game 5-2.  Goals in the third came from Colhoun (his second of the contest), and Kevin "MOUTHGUARD" Coady with a real impressive short handed tally.  Setting up the goals were M. Beisel and Jordan "LOW SHOT" Beisel.

Saturday afternoon the club travelled to Clinton to challenge BCH.  The team came out flat and found themselves trailing 2-0 after the first period.  Heading to the flood after the second frame the Kinucks were trailing 3-2, goals scored by Colhoun and Cale "FORGETFUL" Gibson.  Assists went to JB and Colhoun.  The third period which seems to be the strongest of the three for this group got two early goals and took the lead.  Macker and JB hit the back of the net on set ups by Wallzy, and Colhoun (2).  However BCH would not go away and tied the game midway through the third period.  Neither team had great chances down the stretch therefore the final score would be 4-4.

Wrapping up the week of play Sunday evening, the Kinucks would host Seaforth.  Looking to get back into the win column, the Kinucks were slow starting (ONCE AGAIN) but eventually got their legs under them and skated to a convincing 6-1 victory, completing a successful week of hockey.  Goal scorers were Wallzy (2), Colhoun (2), Macker and Nolan "SMILES/STYLES" MacKinnon.  Some real nice passing plays in this game saw assists going to JB (3), Colhoun (2), Ethan "CRAZY LEGS" Petrie (2), Gibby (2), and MacKinnon.  Seaforth would spoil the shutout bid for Hayden Richardson in the third.

Well done Legion peewees now lets focus on coming to the rink prepared to compete from the opening face off, and not always rely on coming from behind!
