Bantam Girls LL, 2014-2015 (Kincardine Minor Hockey Association)

Kincardine's Areva Bantam Girls LL traveled to Oakville last weekend to test their skills against the big city teams! This was a new tournament for us, none of the girls had played in an Oakville tournament in the past and both players & parents were excited to see what was in store for them! There was some worry on Thursday evening if we were even going to be able to make the tournament due to the roads closing in the late afternoon. It wasn't until early morning they reopened allowing us to pack up and hit the road!

Last weekend the Areva Bantam Girls hit St. Thomas for their first tournament of the season! The girls were anxious to start an exciting weekend and see what the bigger cities had in store for them! Our first game was against St. Thomas late Friday evening. 18 seconds into the game Brittany Norman sends a beautiful pass to Rebecca Cuillerier who then fires it in from the blue line to score our first goal of the tournament and her first goal of the season! Although we did out shoot St. Thomas 20 to 12, they finally landed one in on the 3rd period to tie the game up 1-1.

On October 18th the Areva Bantam Girls LL hit the ice for their first challenge of the season in an exhibition game against Saugeen Shores at the 2nd Annual "Showdown in the Shores"!
