Kincardine Peewees off to a Strong Start! 4-0 over Hanover!
Kincardine Peewee Kinucks 4 - Hanover Falcons 0
It's still very early in the season, but having a 100% winning record after game 4 the Legion sponsored Kincardine Peewee Kinucks had made a very promising start to the season. However, in preparation for game 9 of the season against Hanover, it hadn't taken long before they found themselves coming off the back of 4 losses!

The 4 recent losses were arguably very unfortunate but, nonetheless, Head coach Greg Tanner was in a position where he was looking to get the team back on a winning run. Tanner was willing to try anything bringing back Trainer Steve Fletcher and his 100% winning record to replace full-time trainer Jake Dunlop and his 'snake bitten' 100% losing record, with his bench support so far this season. That just has to be some kind of coincidence! Not helping the return to winning ways cause, Carson 'Teddy' Fletcher would again be unavailable due to sickness. Although it's still early in the season and it would be unfair to expect too much from this young team, it would not be inaccurate to say that this Kincardine team is stacked with talent. In my opinion the Hanover Falcons also have an abundance of talent, but they couldn't live with Kincardine in this particular match up. The Kinucks would take the game to Hanover from the first drop of the puck, with Kayne Lee putting Kincardine into an early lead. Chase Anderson and Cody McLelland would be credited with the assists to the game opening goal. Even with this dominating performance it wouldn't be until the third period when the Kinucks would again add to their tally through Lee. Goal number two would be ably assisted by Tyler Johns and Jared 'French Fry' Houghton. The Hanover Falcons would find Ryan Tanner in the Kincardine net, equal to anything they could throw at him. Tanner pulled off a couple of nice saves, but the Falcons goalie was getting peppered with shots at the other end of the rink. Cody McLelland would make it 3-0 with a beautifully worked power play goal, created by the skills of Kane Lee and Brett 'Old Spice' Hagen. It would be McLelland that would wrap up the scoring and a 4-0 win for Kincardine. Anybody that watched the game must agree that it could've easily been more. Overall, it was an excellent hard working effort by the Kinucks and a return to winning form. If there was one negative to the game, it would be the expulsion and suspension of Jared Houghton following a checking from behind call, which certainly wasn't in any way intentional. Unfortunately, the Kinucks will be without 'French Fry' for Monday's trip to Listowell.
