Peewee Kinucks Win, Win, Win, Win....
Sitting at the top of WOAA Division 1, the Kincardine Legion sponsored Peewee Kinucks are continuing to show that they're a force to be reckoned with in this 2016/2017 season.

The opposition have come and gone and the Kinucks have built up an unbeaten run of 10 consecutive regular season games. It isn't good news for everyone, since the Listowel Cyclones have been the unfortunate recipients of a few defeats at the hands of these young Kinucks, as have the Hanover Falcons, in recent weeks.

This Kincardine Rep Team are particularly fortunate to have such a strong goaltending partnership in Ryan Tanner and Kwade Beisel, which has been a key element in them only conceding 14 regular season goals so far this season. This is by far, the lowest number of goals conceded in the division.

The defensive pairings of Casey Beisel and Holden Stevenson, as well as Noah Page and Cam Fletcher would also be worth a mention in this particular area. Jared Houghton's versatility has also contributed both as a winger and on the blueline. With all of that said, for a defenseman, Cam Fletcher has been on a point streak and goal scoring tear during those recent games. Fletcher and his 'brother from another mother' Carson 'Teddy' Fletcher contributed to half of the goals in a 6-0 victory over Listowel. Cam collected two goals while Teddy fired the other with a sweet spin and shot, firing an arrow through the hearts of the Cyclones.

*      Fletcher:  (noun) historical - the maker and seller of arrows.

A drive down to Mitchell ended in a 4-4 tie, where the Kinucks and the Mitchell Meteors showed that these two teams will be battling it out for top spot this season. In this game the Kinucks showed that they're certainly stacked with the 2nd year offensive talent namely, Brett Hagen, Sam MacTavish, Kane Lee, Carson Fletcher and Cody McLelland which has fired them to the top of the current standings.

having said all of that, the 'young guns' are also making a key contribution for the orange and black. The Listowel Cyclones were again the recipients to some expertly taken goals from Chase Anderson, Tyler Johns and Jared Houghton. Chase Anderson would also hit the net of the Hanover Falcons where, along with other scorers Kane Lee and Cam Fletcher, Kincardine would pick up another 3-0 win.

Piling on further heartache for their opponents more games would come and go, leaving the oppositions licking their wounds having been on the receiving end of the Kinucks fast paced offensive game. Mount Forest would make a drive up to Kincardine and receive an 8-0 loss to take home with them. BCH were given an early Xmas gift with a 5-2 loss, while the Listowell Cyclones would again be the recipient of another loss (4-2) the day after these tired young Kinucks had taken the Canadian Legion Tournament Championship. However, that's another story for a separate article.

These Kinucks are a pleasure to watch, so far this season. Great passing and skills from a hugely talented squad makes them well worth seeing!
