Peewee Rep- Kincardine Legion Branch 183, 2016-2017 (Kincardine Minor Hockey Association)

If you're a fan of watching minor hockey, do you self a favor, check out the schedules and go watch the Canadian Legion sponsored Kincardine Peewee Kinucks, Rep Team! They have collected two tournament championships in recent weeks, as they added both the Canadian Legion Lucknow trophy and the Gene Harrington Invitational (USA v Canada) in Buffalo, New York, to their collection.

Sitting at the top of WOAA Division 1, the Kincardine Legion sponsored Peewee Kinucks are continuing to show that they're a force to be reckoned with in this 2016/2017 season. The opposition have come and gone and the Kinucks have built up an unbeaten run of 10 consecutive regular season games. It isn't good news for everyone, since the Listowel Cyclones have been the unfortunate recipients of a few defeats at the hands of these young Kinucks, as have the Hanover Falcons, in recent weeks.

Kincardine Peewee Kinucks 4 - Hanover Falcons 0 It's still very early in the season, but having a 100% winning record after game 4 the Legion sponsored Kincardine Peewee Kinucks had made a very promising start to the season. However, in preparation for game 9 of the season against Hanover, it hadn't taken long before they found themselves coming off the back of 4 losses!

The game of hockey should be a source of fun and enjoyment for a child. However, some well-meaning parents actually place a great deal of pressure on their children without even being fully aware of the impact of their actions. The Car Ride Home can be one of the most critical aspects of the connection between parent and the player. A simple question meant to encourage your own child can be interpreted as an outburst on a coach, teammate or their own performance.

Please take note that the Peewee rep practice for Saturday September 17th (tomorrow) has been cancelled. The kids have all earned a well deserved rest for all their hard work over the past week.
