Strong Play by the Home Hardware Kinucks
The Home Hardware Novice Rep Kinucks faced off against undefeated BCH on Thursday

The Home Hardware Novice Rep Kinucks faced off against undefeated BCH on Thursday, November 27 at the Davidson Centre. Jamie Brock played his usual stellar performance in net kept the game close through two periods of play. Darian Kuz took advantage of his long reach at he performed the Gretzky like wrap around from behind the net. With the game tied 1-1 going into the third, BCH scored two quick goals and it looked like the game was over for the young Kinucks, until Bryce McFadden turned on the after burners. He scored two quick goals of himself to tie BCH at 3’s. Call up Cara Colhoun played a strong two-way game at centre and it looked like momentum was going in the right direction when BCH scored another quick 2 goals. They added an empty netter to finish the game off 6-3.

On Sunday the Kinucks entertained the Meteors from Mitchell. Jacob Bishop was back after an awful stomach virus put him on the DL against Mitchell. His aggressive forecheck and strong defensive presence in the corners was greatly missed.  BCH opened the scoring in what would be a defensive struggle. Travis Anderson played a strong game on the blueline clearing many Mitchell opportunities from the front of the net. With the Kinucks down 1-0 in the third, McFadden was finally able to break free and sniped a wrist shot blocker side on the defenseless Mitchell goalie. The game finished in a 1-1 tie. Coach Long is happy with teams progress, but notes there is lots of room for improvement and feels the novices can be more aggressive on the puck.
