The
Presto-Crest Peewees have once again shown what good teamwork and discipline can do! On Saturday they faced the
Mitchell Meteors, with
Austin Rees opening the scoring on a nice pass from
Clint Parker just 52 seconds into the game. Then
Aidan Calcutt, assisted by
Sam Culmer and
Logan Shewfelt, made it 2-0 and goalie
Brad Liddle frustrated the Meteors with a well timed poke check on a Meteor rush to close the first period.
Just 15 seconds into the 2nd period the team of Culmer and Calcutt again hammered one by Mitchell’s goalie, this time with Sam finding the back of the net. The Meteors, frustrated by our flawless defense;
Brown,
Riggin, Parker and
Marshall Smith, did their best to draw some penalties, but our boys remained cool under fire. Kincardine went on to score 3 more unanswered goals, including a rocket shot from Smith from the point, to end the second period. Rees assisted by
Brent McDonald rang himself a hat trick early in the third and
Scott McFarlan closed the scoring with a late 3rd period goal. Final score, 8–0. Congratulations team! Keep up the good work.
