Presto-Crest Peewee AE team came out firing on all cylinders against the
Goderich Sailors Sunday evening.
After a heart-breaking loss earlier in the week to Saugeen Storm, the Presto-Crest Peewee AE team came out firing on all cylinders against the Goderich Sailors Sunday evening. Before the first period was even a minute old Kincardine was up 1-0 courtesy of Scott Mcfarlan, on an end to end rush, assisted by the goalie Brad Liddle. This really fired up the boys and 2 minutes later it was 2-0 on a goal by Braeden Morgan assisted by Marshall Smith (4 assists overall!). Goderich got one back shortly thereafter, but it was all Presto-Crest from then on. Near the end of the first Mcfarlan scored his second off a great pass by Aidan Calcutt (who had a 6 point night!). Calcutt passed up again 50 seconds later to a wide open Austin Rees. Kincardine kept up the pressure in the second and scored 5 goals; 2 from Logan Shewfelt, Calcutt, Sam Culmer and Mcfarlan's hat trick goal. Assists went to Kaleb Brough (4), Calcutt (2), Joel Riggin, Evan Brown and Rees. In the third period, the boys were not as intense, but Goderich could not crack the defense of Brown, Riggin, Smith and Clint Parker. The boys scored 2 more goals in the period by Brent Mcdonald and Rees. The final tally was 11-2. Great game boys!!!
