KINCARDINE KINUCKS VS. SAUGEEN SHORES STORM, JAN.7TH 2011.
Friday night in Tiverton at the Thunder Dome the novices hosted highway 21 rivals Saugeen Shores in an exhibition game.  

Liam Colhoun scored the only goal of the first period, with an assist going to Georgia Tanner.  After two periods it was 2-1 Kincardine on another hard working goal from Colhoun who was set up by “D” man Kaleb Smith.  The Saugeen Shores Storm tied the game at 2 mid way through the third only to have Colhoun finish off the hat trick and what would turn out to be the game winning goal!  Assisting on the winner was Bervie native Darcy Scott. 

KINCARDINE KINUCKS @ MITCHELL METEORS, JAN.8TH 2011.
Saturday afternoon the team traveled to Mitchell for another exhibition tilt against the Meteors.  This was a very fast paced game with end to end action.  The Kinucks fell behind two goals after the first period, however they kept pushing the play and trailed 3-2 after two periods. Second period goals were scored by Colhoun, and Zach Wall, assists were given to Wilson Shipp, and Tanner.  Wall tied the game three minutes into the third, only to see the Meteors score shortly after and hold on for the 4-3 victory.  The coaches were very impressed with the compete level of the team after spotting Mitchell the early two goal lead.  Trent Courtney played well between the pipes challenging the Mitchell shooters.  

KINCARDINE KINUCKS VS. RIPLEY WOLVES, JAN.9TH 2011.
On Sunday morning the Kinucks hosted the Ripley Wolves in Kincardine.  Georgia Tanner opened the scoring with assists going to Colhoun, and Shipp.  After two periods the Kinucks had a 2-0 edge on a goal mouth scramble which was put away by Trent Pletch, assists to Colhoun, and Jordan Moulton.  Colhoun dominated the third period scoring three times, while Wall added another for good measure.  Assists in the third went to Wall (2), and Claire Hunsburger.  Make the final 6-3 for the home team.  The hardest working player of the game award went to affiliate player Trent Pletch who was solid throughout the game. 

The novices play their next game Tuesday, January 11, 2011 as they travel to the home of the Lucknow Sepoys for a 6:30pm start.  This will be the teams final preparation game before their one day tournament this coming Saturday in Durham.  Their first game is at 9:00am in Durham.
