Georgian Shores visit Kincardine for a match
Sunday night the Montgomery Ford Midget girls challenged @ home in the Davidson Center, Georgian Shores Lighting "C" team for the 3rd game against each other this season , never forgeting prior matches. With a laid back warm up after being off a week, the huddle from the start of the game, was a different style of play all together with effort & heart . With the 1st period of play was like clock work as the team applyed pressure , made excellent changes to keep pressure on, as defensively had cleared the puck from Alex Courtney to throw the puck up with Tegan Moore picking off the pass into a break awy, then made a smooth pass to Caylen Nashiem to go in alll alone & snipe the 1st goal

@ 5 minute mark. Within another minute of play, Dakota Smith skated behind our net & thru a pass to Jordan Murchie, as she skated up to the blueline & fed Malorie Woods the puck to skate in & score our 2nd goal. In the 2nd period the team took a 3-0 lead with a power play that had developed  4 mins into the period and the midget girls do have 2 power play lines ready to go and have practiced it . All these girls took was 21 seconds from the face off in the offensive end zone to place this goal as Malorie Woods won the face off to Dakota Smith, then along the boards Megan Stewart- Kemp battled to be able to cycle the puck to Maddie McFadden to lay on the ice snap shot with Jorie Elliott standing in front of the net to screen & re-deflect the shot right thru the pads of there keeper , was awesome. Late in the 2nd period Emily Simpson stole the puck from the forwards, then made cross ice pass to Rachel Whitney, to skate a pass to eden Mcfarlane to go in tight to the short side & fliped it past the goalie for the 4-0 lead into the 3rd period. As the game was seemed maybe over, a late penalty against us, caught us off gaurd & their PP line scored @ 1:59 left. Once agin we seem to have small slip up with off pass & Georgian player intercepted a pass to score a breakaway goal, 26 seconds left. Final score 4-2 win for Kincardine. Currently the team is tied with TCDMHA in the league with points for 1st position .
