Midget girls win 2 away games and welcome back Jorie !
Montgomery Ford Midget girls still skating there best trying to gain 1st spot in their league finish , even with the team missing some players such as Mercede Battler & Caylen Nashiem who are on student exchange in Europe, also Dakota Smith is still recovering from a concussion from the London tournament. We also were pleased to see the return of Jorie Elliott, who recently has been released from the hospital, still continuing with her treatments, the docotrs have giving her the green light to play hockey again ! Well as you can see the smile on her face in the photo that being on the bench again with her freinds & wearing the hockey equipment is also good healing treatment in spirit !
The girls played 2 games last week, up to Southampton to match up with Saugeen Shores winning 7-0 & this past Sat night over to Walkerton winning 3-0. This game was Jories 1st skate since being hospitalized since Jan 9th and of course Jories cousins & other family was out for support to watch & cheer ! The team now waits for 2 games to make up with TCDMHA from cancellations do to weather, these games will be for final outcome of 1st place finish for either team.
