Bantam Girls Win at Home, in Ripley
Tuesday November 20th, The Bantam Girls LL team played a home game in Ripley vs. The Saugeen Shores Storm.
The
Kincardine girls came out very strong.
Kincardine’s opening goal was scored by Alice Thorpe. Strong play by Amber Howald kept the score
1-0. The trend continued in the second period with The Kinuck’s pushing the
pace of play. After several outstanding chances and great rushes Kincardine
went up 2-0 with a goal by Lydia Martin. The girl’s entered the third period
with a two goal lead looking for more.
They added to it on a great 2 on 1 rush with Georgia Fields passing the
puck over to Thorpe for her second goal of the night. After several tense
minutes and close plays Howald came away with a shutout and the team with a 3-0
win. Good job girls. --Submitted by Dave McGregor
