Montgomery girls have a light weekend with one game
The Montgomery Ford Midget girls get back on
the ice after exam week to play a make up league game vs Lucknow Sailorettes “C”
team. Both teams having a delay waiting from the Bulldogs/Mt Forest playoff game
going into O/T and of course everyone wanting to get home to watch the Superbowl
! Both teams came to the rink wanting the same thing, to score, as the game
stayed close , really a goal apart , 15 seconds into the 2nd period Lucknow tied
up the game 1-1 score, however the Kinucks gained the lead and kept it thru to
the end, scoring a insurance goal with 13 seconds left in the 3rd period for a
4-2 victory
This was the 1st time since the start of the season that the entire team roster was present and a good time for this as the Kinucks are attending the Silver Stick tournament in Saugeen Shores this coming weekend and also soon starting their provincal playdown playoffs !
