3 out of 4 ain't bad!
The Home Hardware sponsored Kincardine Novice Kinucks wrapped up their regular season play winning 3 of their last 4 games, securing 3rd place in their division. With a group of four road trip games to finish the season, the Kinucks would pay visits to the sunny and exotic locations of Port Elgin, Goderich and Listowell.

The games commenced with a visit to the Saugeen Shores Storm, where the Kinucks would edge out their local rivals in a 2-1 win at the Plex. The following day would see the boys from Kincardine make the trip down to play the Goderich Sailors where they would run out with a convincing 7-0 victory.

The following week was another Goderich visit where the Kinucks inexplicably managed to outshoot and still lose 1-0 to a team that they had beaten 7-0 the week before. Fair play to Goderich for such a turn around, particularly their goalie who was outstanding throughout. Albeit we're talking about 8 year old kids, it is fair to say that it is this inconsistency that causes the Kinucks coaching staff so much frustration!

One more road trip saw the Kinucks finish things up with a 12-1 win over the Listowell Cyclones. Kincardine would pick up this convincing win with a much improved effort, over a Listowell team that gave their all against a much stronger Kinucks team.

This young Kincardine team will now focus their efforts toward their play off campaign and the Elmvale Tournament. With the trade window still open Headcoach Art Houghton said that 'anything is possible' as he looked to build a team that would make a strong push for Silverware. Current rumours circulating the WOAA and on Twitter have mentioned some interest from Hanover for both goalies Jo Wall and Cam Carney. The Jack's, Beddington and Charbonneau are both free agents in the summer and could be traded for future considerations.

Ty McQuillin, Ryerson Carnell, Carter Drake and Ethan Kaminski are all known to have negotiated no trade clauses with GM Jeremy McQuillin at the start of the season, so there will be no action there.

The Minto Mad Dogs are looking to add some toughness to their roster. It's a very poorly kept secret that they have been packaging a deal which would see the Kinucks main penalty minute men Jordan McDonald, Zak Fletcher and Trent Houghton heading down to new lives in the Harriston area.

Finally Brodie Lyndon, Joshua Cuyler and Beckett Graham all have 'limited no trade clauses' which they would potentially have to waive should any deal be agreed. Lyndon is known to favour a potential move to the Goderich Sailors, while both Cuyler and Graham are gaining little interest because of their reputation for late night partying!

The next few weeks should make for some interesting times!
