Kinucks Atom AE Strong Start of Season - By Leanne Thomson
Under the guidance of Coach Garneau and his stellar bench, the Kincardine Atom AE Kinucks have had a strong start to their regular season . In the first game they faced the Howick Hornets , with the whole team fired up and pretty well everyone `s name  on the game sheet with the score of 15-0.

The next match was  against the physical Mitchell Meteors- and despite Mitchell playing full body contact in a non-contact game and the refs not able to count past 5 players on the ice, our team played hard and came out on top 5-1.The third game of the season saw the team trek down to Zurich on October 24th, with Jack Anderson between the pipes. The first period  was a bit sluggish for the  Kinucks with Dylan Chinnick scoring the only goal of the period, assisted by Coby Palmer. The second period saw Maddox Burgess wrap around the net to score unassisted. Palmer scored the only other goal in the second period with assists going to his linemates of Chinnick and Burgess. Zurich answered back with 2 goals of their own, to make it 3-2 at the end of the second. After what one can only assume was an inspiring ``speech`` from Coach Garneau- the team came to life with 2 more goals from Chinnick for the hat trick, one assisted by Burgess, 2 goals from Jesse Page with one assisted by Alex Colley-Aquino,an unassisted goal by Kole McCormick, a goal from Evan Graham assisted by Spencer Humble, and a goal from Blake Edwards, assisted by Graham to end the high scoring third period. With solid defence from Thomas Harmsworth and Dylan Garneau, and some solid forechecking from forwards Murray Collins and Charlie Hall -Elwood, the Kinuck Atom AE defeated the Zurich Thunder 10-3. The team is looking forward to the upcoming action in November including  the St Marys Tournament and the Silver Stick Tournament in Collingwood. Go Kinucks!
