Game number one of the Playdown Series for the Kinucks
Novice C took place this weekend in Owen Sound versus the Ice Hawks.
The Girls came out strong and at just over a minute in Aera Armstrong would score for the Kinucks on a breakaway! Another minute later and Gracey MacIntosh scored the game’s second goal with an assist from Ava Hogan.
In the second period, the Ice Hawks scored but this only prompted the Kinucks to work even harder. Defense was really on point in this game and in perfect position to block any advances the Ice Hawks made. The Kinucks maintained control over the play and before the end of the second Avery Boulton scored with an assist from Lilah Rock.
The third period continued with both sides working hard, and the Ice Hawks would land their second game goal early on, but the Kinucks would persist and prevail. One final goal in this game by Gracey MacIntosh with an assist from Sadie White after a very heavy battle at the net.
