Sobeys Peewee Girls Down Mount Forest
In their final regular season game and their final tune-up before the International Silver Stick tournament this weekend, the Sobeys Peewee Girls came up with a great effort to down the Mount Forest Rams 2-0.

Mount Forest could have secured first place in the league with a win, but the Kincardine girls had other ideas.  Mount Forest could barely get the puck out of their zone in the first period due to relentless forechecking from the likes of Jessica Satosek, Mikhayla Bowes and Hailey Allen.  Kincardine peppered the Mount Forest goal-tender who made many stops to keep the game scoreless after one period.  In the second, the Kincardine hard work paid off as Maddie Duncan scored from the slot on a pass from Cassidy Colhoun.  Vanessa Hodgins scored again soon after on a feed from Duncan.  Great defensive work from Dakota Smith and Lauren Jolley who kept the puck out of the Kincardine zone for the most part.  Morgan Baker made great use of her new pads with a few key saves when required.  With the game winding down, some Mount Forest players attempted to take out their frustration on goaltender Baker, but Laura Mangotich soon showed them the error in their ways.  A great effort by all. Good luck this weekend in Sarnia at the Silver Stick and next week with Provincial Playdowns.
