Novice Team #2 Shows Their Girl Power to Team #1
On February 12th, Kincardine Novice LL Team #1 and Team #2 laced their skates and taped their sticks looking for a win for their team.
Team #2 dominated the first period with the first goal going to Emily Killin, putting the puck between the pipes, assisted by teammate Reilly Colhoun. Three minutes later, adding to the score, Joanne Page, with the help from teammates, Gordie Reaume and Cadence Gibson, again, snuck one past back up goal tender Jared Petrie to give their team a 2-0 lead. Wile the second period remained balanced, the action returned in the third. Team #1 was eager to get a point on the board and sent out their dynamic duo to get the job done with Kevin Coady rushing the puck in and Owen Thorn tipping the rebound into the twine making the score 2-1. Team #2 wasn’t finished filling the net, with Cadence Gibson sending the puck home set up from Joanne Page and Gordie Reaume to finish the game with a 3-1 win going to Team #2. Outstanding goal tending by Nathan Williams.
