KINCARDINE HOME HARDWARE NOVICE REP TEAM FINISH REGULAR SEASON SCHEDULE WITH PAIR OF WEEKEND WINS AND GEAR UP FOR PLAYOFFS

The Kinucks played host to the Walkerton Capitals on Friday night at the Tiverdome.  The team skated away with a 7-1 victory.  It took the team half way through the second period to final score a goal.  Wilson Shipp and Jordan Moulton led the way both notching hat tricks.  Nolan MacKinnon added another goal.  Assists went to Darcy Scott, Heidi Allen, Jessica Anderson, Cody McLelland and MacKinnon.

On Saturday the team headed for Southampton to square off against the Saugeen Shores Storm, a very defensively sound team with good goaltending.  The Kinucks trailed 1-0 after the first period, and were tied at 1-1 after the second, on a goal by MacKinnon, setting up the goal was McLelland.  The Kinucks would outscore the Storm in the third period 3-1 and take the game 4-2.  MacKinnon finished off the hat trick with two in the third as the rink was covered with hats from the sell out crowd.  Jordan Moulton had the other goal.  Setting up the scoring were Moulton and Shipp.  It turned out to be a very productive weekend for #14 Nolan MacKinnon with four goals, and really played a sound game to lead the team.  Congratulations Nolan and we look for that strong play to continue over the playoff run!

The team has concluded there 18 game regular season with an impressive 15-2-1 win-loss-tie record.  Which put them into a first place tie with Mount Forest at 31 points.  A very successful season for the Kinucks.  Now the team will wait until mid week for playoff arrangements.  Please follow the KMHA website for any further games being scheduled.

Well done team................... GO KINUCKS GO!
