2 S.O. Wins for Kincardine “Green Machine”!!!
Written by: Ryder Colhoun

The Kincardine Novice HL #2 team hosted 2 opponents this weekend outscoring their competition 10-0!!

Novice HL#2 "Green Machine" vs. Novice HL#3 "Blue", November 19th.
On Saturday the “Green Machine” hosted team #1 “Blue”, and defeated them 3-0 in a hard fought game. Carson Boettinger had the shut-out, turning away all shots that he faced from the sticks of team “Blue”.  Doing their part to limit the shots faced by Carson was the defensive core of Aidan Berkman/Roland Spencer and Reilly Colhoun/Cam Fletcher.  Mack Beisel continued his scoring prowess with a hat-trick on the day, assists coming from Reilly Colhoun and Aidan Berkman respectively.  Forwards Bailey Pierson, David Ulak, Cole Hackett-Price, Gabby Legge, Dakota Christie-Wylds, and Bryan Nicholson deserve credit for stepping up their play and grinding down the “Blue” opponents to help the team to its third win on the year.

Novice HL#2 "Green Machine" vs. Arran-Elderslie Ice Dogs, November 20th.
Sunday saw Arran-Elderslie Ice Dogs come to town for a match against our “Green Machine”.  Since this was an inter-league game the green shirts were set aside so that Team #2 could don the White/Orange/Black jerseys of a Kincardine Kinuck, and serve their town well they did.  With a close 1st period, neither team was able to draw fist blood.  The game remained 0-0 heading to the second where things were about to open up!  After a quick 1st intermission pep talk and change of the lines “Green Machine” showed those dogs some new tricks and scored 6 unanswered goals in the second frame. 4 goals came off the stick of Mack Beisel and 2 off the stick of Carson Boettinger who traded in his goalie pads for a missile launcher!!  Assists on two of the goals belonged too Cam Fletcher and David Ulak.  Those that worked hard but did not show up on the score sheet are Roland Spencer, Reilly Colhoun, Bryan Nicholson, and Dakota Christie-Wylds.  With one more goal added in the 3rd period by Mack Beisel (5 on the day), goalie Cole Hackett-Price was able to seal the S.O. helped along by the play of his defence  Aidan Berkman, Bailey Pierson and Emilio Colley-Aquino.

Great Weekend of hockey “Green Machine”!!
Let’s carry that momentum into next week’s game against the “Cougars”, 11AM @ the Davidson Centre!!
