Green Machine Keeps Rolling!!

Green Machine bring in another victory. Saturday was a productive day on ice for the team. The game began at a great pace with players fully engaged on both sides, with some hard fought battles.
Team #4 came out strong with some fast skating and heads up play. Green Machine defence neutralized most of what came into our end quickly. Team #4 hit the scoreboard first.
The Second period brought on some really good puck movement by David Ulak. A well thought pass by Gabby Legge set Mack Beisel down the ice to even thing s up at 1. Dakota Christie-Wylds made a couple deep rushes into the offensive end, applying some pretty solid pressure. With 5:25 into the Second in bit of a scrum in front of the opposing goaltender, Mack Beisel found Bailey Peirson open, made the pass and the Greens went a head by one rounding out the second period of play. Aidan Berkman and Bryan Nicholson made some key defensive plays stopping numerous break-aways, up and getting the puck out of their end.
In the Third period, the pressure was on. Both teams were hungry. Mack Beisel broke out completing an end to end rush finished with a top shelf marker to bring in the insurance goal. Team four would find the mark again to make it 3-2 greens. Some well time saves and quick play by Reilly Colhoun would keep the Green Machine ahead. Time ticking down the opposing team decided to pull the goalie to the extra attacker. Contrary to Team #4 plan of tying it up Mack skated to the blue line and fired on the open net the fourth and final goal of the game. Final score 4-2 Great Job!
