Upper Maitland was good work out for upcoming London Tournament
Tuesday night Montgomery Ford Midget girls traveled to Kurtzville for a match vs Upper Maitland, a group higher then our own . This was a league crossover game, yet timing was good with tricky weather lately, causing 2 or 3 cancellations for the team, we needed this game to prepare for this weekend. The layoff was showing in hte 1st period as Upper Maitland takes a early lead. Even the 2nd period, the team still couldnt gain on this fast skating, hard shooting team, with finally in the 3rd period the girls returned the favor for a close close catch up, pulling the score to a 5-4 final, with also being dis-allowed a goal at the 3 minute mark as the goalie knocked the net off ! Goals were scored by Malorie Woods, Rachel Whitney, Megan Stewart Kemp, Eden McFarlane
the team is so looking forward to visiting this weekend with their team mate Jorie Elliott in London while the team trys to win the London Devilettes Girls Hockey tournament . Good Luck Ladies
