Written  by Sheri Sprung

This Silver Stick match was played  on Saturday, December 6th at 4:10 p.m. at Wingham Arena.  In the first period there were several good shots taken by Long and Burrows and a very close one by Netzke on the South Huron goalie. Ben Netzke #11 got a break away and made a beautiful shot and though very close did not make it in the net. Defence Skinner, Sharp, Dunlop, Folkhens and Reardon had their work cut out for them. Two goals got past them leaving South Huron with a 2-0 lead.

Immediately in the second period, our 1st goal was made by Burrows unassisted. South Huron gained two more goals in this period giving them a 4-1 lead.

In the third period Kincardine made a remarkable come back and fought to stay in the game. With awesome defence and swift moves by our forwards, 3 more goals were made. Burrows made 2 more goals assisted by Long. Congratulations on your success with the hat trick Brett Burrows! Our final goal was made by Luinstra #17 and assisted by Vollmer and Gavin. Primeau made several good saves but Kincardine was defeated by South Huron with a final score of 6-4.
