Canadian Tire Atoms play an exciting game against Saugeen Shores
Written by:  Tracy Primeau

The first goal scored by Saugeen Shores was a close call and Ethan Primeau was not happy about it.  Ethan Long and Brett Burrows were able to even it up however a short time later in the first period.  The team also had to kill a couple of penalties in the first period keeping the score 1-1.

The second period though goal free was full of great plays.  Brett Colhoun had opportunity after opportunity and received player of the game from the coaching staff for staying in there and digging.  On the defensive side Primeau was helped by interception after interception by Jakob Dunlop, Ben Netzke, Raven Sharp and Danny Skinner who all played a great game.

In the third period we were up again as Burrows put one in unassisted and Long put one in with help from Owen Fohkens.  Great passing on both lines in this game gave Kincardine lots of scoring opportunities.  Saugeen Shores captain got one over Primeau’s shoulder with a minute left but Burrows and Skinner returned the favour making the final score 4-2 for the Kinucks.
