Bantam Girls Rep, 2008-2009 (Kincardine Minor Hockey Association)

The Kincardine West Shore Bantam “B” girls competed in the 2009 OWHA Provincial Championships in Mississauga on April 17-19 and brought home Bronze medals. They join the Kincardine Atom and Pee Wee teams in successfully earning medals in this important competition.

After participating in the W.O.A.A. year end tournament in Goderich over the March 5-8th weekend, the Kincardine West Shore Bantam girls came home with the Maroon Division Consolation Championship trophy. The girls’ most challenging game was their first of the tournament when they faced the Goderich Sailorettes on March 5th. After three scoreless periods and two scoreless overtime periods, it came down to a shootout to determine a winner. The Kincardine West Shore Bantam Girls Rep team advanced to the OWHA Provincial Championship after defeating Goderich two straight in their best-of-three series. The girls will now represent the region in the Bantam B division at the annual championships in Mississauga in April.
