The Attack were back with a hard driving, hardworking and determined game against Novice Blue.
The Attack were back with a hard driving, hardworking and determined game against Novice Blue. Thomas Harmsworth led the effort making many great saves for his team. With action right of the hop, Blue came down the ice to get an early score, but the Attack weren't to be taken off their game. Thomas, assisted by defence, worked to build the wall while Jude Hodgins going out on offence to get a goal in Period 1. With 10 players the Attack were shorthanded and skated with few rests and long sets. Despite their efforts at the end of period 1 blue had managed to slide 3 past the goal. The Attack regrouped, decisively moving in the second half of the game to shut out Blue's offensive. Blue kept up the pressure by the Attack led by Jude's defence efforts assisted by Malcolm Lane, Addyson Richards, Deven Gouthro and Ethan Gouthro created a gauntlet Blue had to work hard to get through. While the Attack goalie kept his eye on the puck and made great saves. The Attack jumped back up on the offensive and made some great plays and shots on the Blue net. While the Attack went down 5 to 1, this is a team that continues to show their progression playing smart hockey and having great spirit. Written by Erin Gouthro
