The Attack worked hard tonight against Novice Green. Aaron Urie held strong as the goaltender making some stunning saves throughout the game. Both the defense and forward lines made strong efforts to keep the puck out of their end. The Attack challenged the Green with united team playing, however despite their efforts, Green scored 2 top shelf goals by the end of the first period. Feeling the pressure to get on the score board, the team worked even harder in the second and third period. Trent Houghton, a Tyke player who was called up to help the Attack team, proved this decision to be a good one by securing a goal against Green in the second period.
Green kept up the pressure on the Attack by scoring 3 more goals in the second period. The Attack defense lines kept working hard throughout the third period making sure no more goals were had by Novice Green. Attempts to even the score were made with shots to the net by the forwards including close ones by Ela Jone and Charlie Hall Elwood. Each and every player clearly worked evidenced by fast skating and smart passing. Although the Attack was defeated 5-1, they impressed their fans with their unwavering determination.
