Black took to the ice against the mighty Green Machine Saturday February 15th.
The early start caught team Black a bit asleep as Green broke out to an early 5-0 lead. Coach Brent rallied the troops and they set out on the comeback trail. Thomas finally solved the Green defence and set team Black on the scoresheet. The entire team rallied around the goal and began to pressure team Green, keeping the play in their zone. The hard work resulted in two more goals for Team Black courtesy of Thomas’ hat trick. Sadly, despite their best efforts, Black was unable to complete the comeback. Hard forechecking by Dylan and hardhat winner Malcom kept the green team nervous throughout the third period, leading to several close calls from Koby and Ela and all the Black forwards.
