The Kincardine Scotiabank Atom girls had a great time in Markdale over the weekend for the Grey Highlands Shooting Stars Atom Tournament.
The Kinucks faced the Grey Highlands Shooting Stars in game one
Saturday morning.The Stars opened the scoring in the first and wouldn’t let up,
they squeaked one by us in the third for
a final of a 2-0 loss.
For game two, the Kinucks were up against Bruce Peninsula. Scoreless through two periods the Kinucks kept
taking it to the net and scored two unanswered goals in the third for the shut
out win 2-0.
On Sunday the girls returned to face Mt Forest in an exciting back and forth game. Mt Forest found the back of our net twice but our Kinucks fought back answering with two goals in second period. The third period saw two more goals by Mt Forest. Kincardine scored in the dying seconds of the third, but ran out of time for a final of 4-3 loss.
Players of the game were Elizabeth Casciano, Emma Dixon and Dakota Christie-Wylds.
The Girls will be in Walkerton this weekend to face the Capitals.
