Kincardine Atoms girls are a triple threat and get their groove back with big home and home and wins.
The Scotiabank Atom girls are on a roll after a tough weekend at silver stick.
The girls faced the AEMHA Ice Dogs for a home and home this past weekend.

Game one on Saturday was full of thrills and chills in Tiverton.
In the first period both teams faced the dreaded  “too many men” penalties. AEMHA killed off their penalty unscathed.
Then towards the end of the third Liz opened the scoring with a long shot end to end just squeaking by the Ice Dogs goalie. The Dogs barked back thirty seconds later. A rebound shot, glove side was the only goal that got by Vana.

In the final two periods the Atoms skated hard and worked the boards, always digging for the puck. The girls played strong all around. Everyone was working their positions and working together for scoring chances.
The Kinucks showed they are a triple threat with their strong defense, determined offense, and focused goaltending.
The girls were very, very active with their sticks as they killed off three tripping penalties by the end of the game.  With three more goals from Heidi, and Emma, assists from Morgan, Mack and Elle, the girls played their game their way. For a final win of 4-1.

Game two in Tara was good solid positional play all around, wingers finding their spot in front of the net, defense and centres battling hard along the boards and in the corners. With a win already under their belt the girls had more confidence with the puck. Macara Brooks was net and she had a great game going  post to post with paddle down for some great saves.  With goals from Heidi, Ella and Morgan the Kinucks earned the 3-1  win, with their grit and determination. It was a good old Canadian barn style hockey game.  The girls face South Bruce C next in Teeswater  on Saturday Feb 22.
