Kincardine Scotiabank Atom Girls were an offensive powerhouse against Capitals.
The Kinucks were in Walkerton on Saturday and all the girls brought their A game.   Morgan Talbot ignited our girls offense, opening the scoring, unassisted.
Then Heidi Allen, put number two on the board for the Kinucks also unassisted.
Another shot from Morgan Talbot assisted by Heidi Allen late in the first, put the Kinucks up by three.
The second period gave Kennedy Urie her first career goal which was unassisted. Elle Cottrill and Heidi Allen set up Morgan Talbot to find the back of the net again for her third goal through two periods.

The third gave Kincardine four more goals. With a great pass from Morgan Talbot, Ella Gratto lit the lamp for another goal for the Kinucks.  Just a minute later Heidi Allen beat the Capitals net minder for her second goal of the game.  Elizabeth Casciano was on pace for a shutout, when Walkerton scored late in the third with a quick shot five hole. Emma Dixon closed the scoring with her second of the game. For a final of 9-1

The girls showed some great discipline and strength defensively, especially Mackenzie Kuntz.  As a result there were only a couple shots on our net, with only one squeaking by Liz in her debut between the pipes.  With the great fore checking from our forwards they made many heads up plays and made some key passes to the front of Walkerton’s goal, where our snipers were poised. It was great game and an amazing effort from all of our girls.

Player of the game went to Morgan Talbot who had an amazing game and racked up 4 points, 3 goals and an assist.

The Kincardine Scotiabank Atom girls are in Tiverton this Saturday to face South Bruce Girls C
