Midget Girls Rep, 2012-2013 (Kincardine Minor Hockey Association)

The Montgomery Ford Midget girls played 3 games over last period of a week. Last Mon Tiverton Thunder came to the D/C for a exhibition game to prepare our team for Wed night game . With a 10 day layoff we needed a boost, well that came when we found out Jorie Elliot was coming home from London to play after her daily treatments. Well this was enough to give us spirit to play good hockey, Tiverrton took the lead in the 1st period , however when a powerplay developed in the 2nd period , only few seconds left, the girls tied it up 1-1 . Montgomery Ford Midget girls still skating there best trying to gain 1st spot in their league finish , even with the team missing some players such as Mercede Battler & Caylen Nashiem who are on student exchange in Europe, also Dakota Smith is still recovering from a concussion from the London tournament. We also were pleased to see the return of Jorie Elliott, who recently has been released from the hospital, still continuing with her treatments, the docotrs have giving her the green light to play hockey again !  Montgomery Ford Midget girls have  been preparing and looking forward to attending the London Devilettes Girls Hockey tournament this weekend . This is Londons biggest sporting event each year , consisting of over 274 team of all divisions and ages. The Kincardine Midgets was in a 16 team division split into 4 pools in Midget / Intermidiate  which for H/L , this is the only way our Midgets could enter, so our team 15-17aged  players, yet most the team we played were aged from 15 - 21 of age !
