Written by Tracy Primeau The final series of the WOAA playoffs had Kincardine once again facing off against Goderich Wednesday March 18th during the March Break. The first game was played at home and the team was down three key players and had some help from AP Jessica Dales. At the end of the first Goderich was up 1-0 even though there had been a couple of great tries by Brett Burrows. Written by Tracy Primeau The WOAA playoffs continued after the round robin play with the Kinucks facing off against Mount Forest, a team they hadn’t played before. March 5th the boys were off for an eight o’clock game in Mount Forest. Great defense by Ben Netzke and Rhys Vollmer couldn’t stop Mount Forest from scoring and ending the first period with a lead of 1-0. Brett Burrows evened it up with a wrap around goal and then put the team up 2-1 on a power play goal. Written by Tracy Primeau As mentioned in last article the Kinucks won their first game against Goderich. Next up was a loss to Port Elgin 6-3. The boys just didn’t have the same energy or drive that Port Elgin did although Ethan Long did get the hat trick and was assisted by Owen Fohkens and Jakob Dunlop. Next the boys travelled to Hanover and on to a 5 to 1 win in their first match up every with Hanover. Goals by Long, Brett Burrows, Kurt Dunsbier, Fohkens and Danny Skinner.
